Dr. Blythe McCance, EdD, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology.
Dr. McCance has a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, Education and Research with an emphasis in Student Personnel Services from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. She completed her Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology in 2012 from Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida and has experience in many diverse therapeutic settings, including work with military personnel, college students, children, geriatric adults, couples and addiction.
Dr. McCance joined NSW in the fall of 2017 and enjoys working with a variety of clients. She currently works with adolescents and adults of all ages, as well as, couples and families. Dr. McCance has specialized training in trauma and Motivational Interviewing. Dr. McCance embraces the principles of Positive Psychology and believes that individuals have the power within themselves to create change and cultivate their most optimum characteristics. She is available by appointment for both day and evening sessions.
