heatherHeather is a PLPC (Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor) who received her master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Marriage and Family Therapy. Heather’s main focus is to help couples develop deeper, more satisfying relationships. She has specific training from the Gottman institute, which is one of the leading methods for couples counseling. She also provides pre-marital counseling and is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH professional, which is used to help build relationship skills.

Heather also counsels individuals desiring help with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, stress, parenting, and personal growth. She approaches counseling from a Cognitive Behavioral Approach in that she helps the client identify thought patterns that affects emotions and behaviors. Additionally, she has received training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is used to help with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and phobias.
