Brandie Hicks, PLPC
Brandie Hicks is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University, in Psychology in August, 2004. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans in August, 2015. Brandie is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and has been a member of Chi Sigma Iota International Honors Society of Counseling since 2013. Brandie works with teens and adults struggling with grief & loss, anxiety, depression, and trauma. In addition, Brandie provides marital and couples counseling as well as Christian-based counseling for individuals seeking to incorporate their spiritual beliefs in their therapeutic process. She guides her clients using a cognitive behavioral approach, which is collaborative and active. Activities such as arts and crafts, journalling, and mindfulness & meditation, assist in learning. Clients find that Brandie’s genuine and honest approach to counseling gives them the space to create, gain awareness, and make adjustments where needed to improve their well being. She believes in providing a safe and laid back environment, where clients can be themselves. Thus, clients are invited to make themselves comfortable and experience a moment of respite.
